If you are new to Paris, just visiting, or want to catch up with some friends in a safe environment, why not come sip sparkling wine and play pétanque (bocce balls)?
Weather permitting, I can host this fun sparkling wine workshop in a privatised section of the pétanque area in the park of Place du Commerce (right outside exit of metro Commerce) in the 15th arrondissement.
All levels are welcome. I will supply the pétanque balls and explain the rules of the game. And if we are lucky, Jeanette from the pétanque club will give us some extra tips. I will of course bring delicious sparkling wines and explain what you are drinking. You will learn about the women behind the bottles, how these wines were made, and what makes them special. I will bring proper glasses and yummy foods that pair well with the bubbly so don't eat before you come! Between throwing your pétanque balls and cheering for your team members, I will also give you tips about serving, storing and buying sparkling wine. I will also explain why champagne is such a food-friendly wine. You will become a pétanque pro AND a champagne pro!
When: Monday to Friday from 16:00 to 19:00 or 17:00 to 20:00
Duration: 3 hours
Cost: 600€ for 1-5 participants, 90€ for each additional participant. Covers cost of privatisation of the pitch, use of the pétanque balls, sparkling wines, food and instruction. The number of bottles you will taste will depend on the number of participants. Don't worry, I am always generous.
Who: Registration is limited to 8 participants per session. Both men and women are welcome. Children can join if you book a private session and parents agree to bring food and drinks for their children. Cost is 15€/per child.
How: send an email to cynthia@delectabulles.com specifying date and time you would like a session, and number of participants. Let me know if you want it to remain a private session, or if you are ok if other people join the group. I will then create a password-protected page where you can register and pay.
Notes:
- If you register and we realise the weather will be too nasty and we have to cancel, don't worry, you will be reimbursed 100%.
